"But Blue Lives Matter!": A Response

To put it simply, you cannot compare a chosen profession to an entire race of people. Working in law enforcement cannot ever be equal to race; you choose your occupation, but you cannot choose how you are born. Police have never lived through a time in which their lives were considered less-than, disposable, or insignificant. They do not live under erasure, and the system has never been stacked against them. Police are put on a pedestal, while Black people are often treated with the opposite kind of hospitality.
